Ringing Anvil is an organization founded by Shauna Aura to create opportunities for spiritual seekers to have transformative experiences.

Ringing Anvil hosts conferences, classes, festivals, and builds spaces and other interactive art projects, using a foundation in the language of myth, dream, music, and the arts of the subconscious. These events, spaces, and experiences will support personal growth, community building, leadership development, ritual skills, and creativity.

What if art surrounded us, beautifying our environment? What if creativity and art was a medium for personal growth, for divine communion, for healing and transformation? What if creative practices could open us to our passions, build community, and create a better world?

What if we could build something like Stonehenge. Something huge, something artistic, something that serves community. What if we built it, and the process of building it created a community, developed that community as a team with group agreements, a shared vision, a way to resolve disputes. What if each participant in that project got to do personally empowering work, creatively and artistically therapeutic? What if that space became a place for community to come together, for individuals to commune with the divine, and for practitioners of alternative spirituality to have a space to call their own? What would that look like?

Shauna's previous event planning experience includes day-long conferences in St. Louis, Return to the Root and Reach for the Flame, as well as numerous rituals and workshops as the leader of the St. Louis Mysteries community for the past 2 years.

Future plans for Ringing Anvil events and activities include:

• a weekend conference in Chicago with personal growth, community building, and leadership offerings
• Voices of the Goddess, an experiential installation-art ritual-theater piece with priestesses aspecting voices of different Goddesses,
• FaeryRave, a masquerade ball and experiential intersection of mythology, artwork, and ecstatic dance
• Remember When We Held the Medicine, a conference in San Antonio for midwives, deathworkers, nurses, massage therapists, doctors, priestesses, psychologists, and other caregivers to bring back the tools priestesses, shamans, and medicine-men have held for thousands of years, and integrate those tools with the highly-advanced tools of modern medicine.
• Publication of articles and books on leadership and community building materials,
• Building sacred sites, shrines, community centers

Ringing Anvil is about cross-pollination. It’s about multidisciplinary arts, crossing boundaries between artistic and rational. It’s about events, festivals, music, mythology, story, workshops, films, art, theatre, archetypes, colors, visuals, dancing, passion, and creativity.

Ringing Anvil is built on the foundation that if more people could experience mystical communion with the divine, if more people had access to the mythic, subconscious elements that fill our souls, if more people could step into a magical space that was built to offer spiritually transformative work, then the world would be a better place. The world would be a more inspired place, full of more creativity, more passion, more energy.

That the cure for depression isn’t pills, but art. That energy comes from inspiration, and inspiration comes from art, story, and experience. That people need hope, and hope comes from life force, from music and dancing and poetry and places of beauty.

An awakened consciousness comes from a deep relationship with the subconscious, with dream and myth and imagination.

Ringing Anvil offers experiences that can become part of the hero’s journey, your journey, your grail quest, the labyrinthine path you will walk to discover who you are, and what your destiny is.
